Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh returns to Vietnam after several years of exile to lecture on practicing Zen in the West. First couple of minutes is music then after that is the introduction and finally Thich Nhat Hanh speaks.

Thich Nhat Hanh then goes on to draw comparisons to a still lake in the mountains, absolutely still… that is how the mind should be, without distortions.

If you have a heavy heart, mindfulness is the way to refresh your heart, let go of your burdens.

Thich Nhat Hanh goes on in his lecture to clarify that no particular effort be made to enjoy your daily life, the sunsets, the skies above, etc.
