Ram Dass Audio

The breath inside the breath a fantastic voyage guided by Ram Dass. The session starts off with a wonderful poem by “Rumi” read by Ram Dass. “The minute I heard my first love story I started looking for you not knowing how blind that was. Lovers don’t finally meet somewhere, they are in each other all along.”

Dr. Richard Alpert (born April 6, 1931), also known as Baba Ram Dass, is a contemporary spiritual teacher best known for writing the 1971 bestseller Be Here Now.

In this hour long lecture by Ram Dass he goes on to discuss the nature of death and the predicament of understanding it and letting go of the fear. “In order to understand the stages of life and ultimately the process of dying, one has to have a context in which to understand these things, and the context usually is defined by what is the meaning of it, what am I doing here on earth?” Sit back and enjoy a very informative lecture delivered only the way Ram Dass can.

In 1967 Richard Alpert left America to travel the world and find a higher meaning for his life. His travels eventually led him to meet a young man whom he befriended and became travel partners with. This young man eventually led Richard to his not yet to be know Guru, Neem Karoli Baba (Maharaji). The Maharaji later gave Richard the name of Ram Dass, which means “servant of God.”

Recorded live at a retreat in Yucca Valley California March, 1979 Ram Dass speaks to a group on the topic living spirit, open heart. This is a terrific topic and Ram Dass delivers the goods. Right here is the living spirit, if not here where else… this is what it’s about right here right now, this very second. This is it!

Though I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

And some day after mastering the winds, the waves, the tides and gravity we shall harness for god the energies of love and then for the second time in the history of the world humans will have discovered fire.
